Action at the European Court of Human Rights

Together with the Roma representative Dervo Sejdić, Finci appealed against the Bosnian Constitution to the European Court of Human Rights , as it violates the European Convention on Human Rights, because Roma and Jews as well as children from " mixed marriages " are prevented from voting for the Second Chamber of the Bosnian Parliament ( Dom naroda Bosne i Hercegovine) and for the collective presidency , as only ethnic Bosnians, Serbs and Croats are allowed. In September 2009 the lawsuit was upheld and the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the other Bosnian constitutional organs would have an obligation to make the provisions non-discriminatory, but the authorities have not yet fulfilled this obligation.
