Jakob Hopfenstätter

Jakob Hopfenstätter (born November 6, 1827 in Würzburg ; † October 6, 1865 there ) was a Bavarian lawyer and from 1862 to 1865 first mayor of Würzburg.

Career

Hopfenstätter studied law. On September 18, 1862 he was elected the first legally qualified mayor of Würzburg. From 1864 to 1866 he was the chairman of the Bavarian State Parliament. He died of an abdominal ailment during his tenure in the fall of 1865.
