Sebastian Benkert

Sebastian Benkert (* 1779 in Volkach ; † December 1845 in Würzburg ) was a Bavarian lawyer and mayor.

Live and act

Sebastian Benkert studied law, lived in Volkach , was accepted into the civil service of the Grand Duchy of Würzburg in November 1813 and then worked as an actuary at the district court in Volkach and as an actuary from 1820 in Würzburg . From 1821 to 1832 Benkert was second mayor of Würzburg and from March 21, 1833 to 1840 he was the first legally qualified mayor of Würzburg.
