Jakob Schwabe (born April 25, 1989 ; born Jakob Macke ) is a German handball player who plays for ASV Hamm-Westphalia .

Career

Jakob Schwabe played in the youth division of the DJK Sparta Münster until 2008 and then played for the regional league club Ibbenbürener SpVg. In 2009 he moved to Ahlener SG . In the 2010/11 season he ran for the HSG Ahlen-Hamm, formed by the Ahlener SG and ASV Hamm-Westfalen , in the handball Bundesliga , where he was still playing in the left back space at that time . After relegation at the end of the season and the dissolution of the HSG , Schwabe, who is now playing as a circle runner, stayed with ASV, for which he has been active in the 2nd handball league since then . From the 2014/15 season, and the departure of Andreas Simon , he was appointed captain there. In February 2015, SG Flensburg-Handewitt signed Macke to replace the long-term injured Jacob Heinl for the rest of the season. With Flensburg he won the DHB Cup 2014/15 . Schwabe has been playing for ASV again since the 2015/16 season. In March 2020 Schwabe took over as coach from ASV on an interim basis until the end of the 2019/20 season.
