Jakob Stucki (born July 10, 1924 in Seuzach ; † March 17, 2006 in Winterthur , reformed , resident in Dägerlen and Seuzach) was a Swiss politician ( BGB / SVP ).

Life

Jakob Stucki, son of the farmer Jakob Stucki senior and Elisabetha Keller, was a farmer and innkeeper in Seuzach. Stucki - he joined the farmers, trade and citizens' party (BGB) - was initially a member of the Seuzach secondary school from 1950 to 1958. In 1958 he became the mayor elected by Seuzach and held this post until 1971 held. At the same time, he represented his party in the Zurich Cantonal Council from 1959 to 1971 . After the BGB merged with the democratic parties of the cantons of Glarus and Graubünden in 1971 and founded the Swiss People's Party (SVP), Stuckis was elected to the Zurich government council , of which he was a member until his resignation in 1991. There he headed first the police and military directorate, then the building directorate, and from 1979 the financial directorate. In addition, Stucki took a seat on the Council of States for his canton from 1979 to 1987 .

A bomb attack on his house on October 8, 1975 by members of the religious community Divine Light Center (DLZ) in Winterthur made headlines beyond the canton's borders .

Jakob Stucki - in 1947 he married Margaretha, the daughter of the farmer Gottlieb Frauenfelder - died of heart failure at the age of 82 .
