The Jakobsweg Isar – Loisach – Leutascher Ache – Inn is a signposted, cross-border pilgrimage and long-distance hiking trail in the German and Austrian Jakobsweg network .

The pilgrimage route forms the connection between the south-east Bavarian and Tyrolean Jakobsweg or Jakobsweg Austria .

It continues the Munich Way of St. James leading from Munich to Schäftlarn Abbey in a southerly direction, meets the South-East Bavarian Way of St. James at Abbey Beuerberg and joins the Way of St. James in Tyrol near Mötz in the Inn Valley . The path from Schäftlarn Abbey to Mötz is 130 kilometers long.

The long-distance hiking trail leads from about 600 to 700 meters above sea level. A. over the Kesselberg at about 800 meters above sea level. A. into the high valley near Leutasch at about 1100 meters above sea level. A. and then comes down into the Inn valley at about 600 meters above sea level. A.

Project

The Jakobsweg is a project of the association founded in 2009 to promote the Jakobsweg Isar-Loisach-Leutascher Ache-Inn eV based in Kochel am See. The project was largely completed with the opening on June 12, 2010.

The association includes the Bavarian cities of Geretsried and Penzberg , the Bavarian communities Eurasburg / Beuerberg , Bichl , Benediktbeuern , Kochel am See , Walchensee , Wallgau , Krün and Mittenwald , the Tyrolean community of Leutasch , the Olympiaregion Seefeld-Leutasch and the Tirolmitte Telfs / Mötz tourist office on.

Funding from the European Union and from the European Regional Development Fund ( INTERREG Bavaria - Austria 2007-2013) was used.
