Jamal Lee Adams (* 17th October 1995 in Lewisville , Texas ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the Seattle Seahawks as safety .

college

Adams, son of George Adams , who six years as a running back played in the NFL with the New York Giants to Super Bowl XXI won, attended Louisiana State University and played for their team, the Tigers, successful college football . In 36 games he was able to set a total of 209 tackles , score two sacks and prevent 14 passes. He also got 5 interceptions .

NFL

Adams was selected by the New York Jets as the 6th player in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft and received a four-year contract worth $ 22.3 million . As a professional, he was able to assert himself immediately and was a starter in all games in his rookie season . For his consistently good performance, he was elected to the 2017 All-Rookie Team by the Pro Football Writers Association . In 2018 he was even able to improve and - as one of three players in the Jets - was elected to the Pro Bowl for the first time .

After talks about contract extensions stalled, Adams became dissatisfied with his situation with the Jets. In June 2020 he officially asked to be traded. On July 25, 2020, the Jets Adams swapped for two first-round picks (2021/2022), a third-round pick (2021) and Bradley McDougald to the Seattle Seahawks along with a four-round pick of the 2022 draft .
