Raúl Albentosa Redal (born September 7, 1988 in Alzira ) is a Spanish football player .

Career

Albentosa played in the youth team of Elche FC until 2007 . From 2007 he was used for the B team . In June 2008 he made his debut for the Elche professionals in the Segunda División when he was in the starting line-up against Deportivo Xerez on Matchday 42 of the 2007/08 season and was replaced by Álvaro Giménez in the 65th minute .

For the 2009/10 season he became the third division Caravaca CF awarded. For Caravaca, however, he was not used and so he returned to Elche in January 2010. After a total of three second division games for Elche Albentosa joined the 2010/11 season for fourth-rate B-team of Real Murcia .

In summer 2011 he joined the third division CD San ​​Roque de Lepe . In August 2011 he played his first game in the Segunda División B against CD Puertollano . He scored his first goal in the third division in October 2011 in a 1-0 win against Écija Balompié . In the 2011/12 season he completed a total of 31 third division games for San Roque de Lepe, in which he scored three goals.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to league rivals FC Cádiz . For Cádiz he was in 33 games in Segunda División B that season. In the summer of 2013 Albentosa moved to the second division SD Eibar . With Eibar he rose to the end of the 2013/14 season in the Primera División . In the promotion season he was used in 33 games in the Segunda División and scored three goals. After promotion, he made his debut in the top Spanish league in August 2014, when he was in the starting line-up against Real Sociedad on matchday one of the 2014/15 season . He scored his first goal in the Primera División in September 2014 in a 2-0 win against FC Elche.

In January 2015 Albentosa moved to England for the second division club Derby County , where he received a contract that ran until June 2017. Derby, he completed until end of season eight games in the Championship . After half a year in England, he left Derby in July 2015 and switched back to Spain on loan to the first division club FC Málaga . For Málaga, he played 29 games in the Primera División in the 2015/16 season and scored two goals.

In July 2016 he finally left Derby and moved to the Spanish first division club Deportivo La Coruña . With Deportivo La Coruña he was relegated from the top Spanish league in 2018. As a result, Albentosa was awarded to the also second-rate club Gimnàstic de Tarragona in August 2018 .
