James Anthony Toppo
James Anthony Toppo (born May 3, 1930 in Silphari , India , † May 4, 2004 ) was Bishop of Jalpaiguri .
Life
James Anthony Toppo received on 10 August 1960, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On April 24, 1971, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the Bishop of Jalpaiguri. The Archbishop of Calcutta , Lawrence Trevor Picachy SJ , donated him episcopal ordination on October 17 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Ranchi , Pius Kerketta SJ, and the Bishop of Raigarh-Ambikapur , Francis Ekka .
