Lilienthal is a district of the town of Schönsee in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria .

geography

The wasteland of Lilienthal is located on State Road 2159 about 500 m east of Dietersdorf am Lohbach, which flows into the Ascha about 500 m further west near Dietersdorf .

history

The Bavarian original cadastre shows Lilienthal in the 1810s without its own place name as house number 17 belonging to Dietersdorf with a hearth. From around 1890 the property is listed as a mill that probably used the water power of the Lohbach , reinforced by a channel from the Weisbach to operate a grinding mill . During the time of National Socialism in Germany , the property appeared in the map series in 1937 as a Köckenschleife . Eight residents were counted. The mill pond to the east of the building has been preserved . The water power was previously used to drive the sawmill, today it is used to generate electricity. In addition, the roofs of the place, which has now grown to five buildings into a hamlet , have been equipped with solar power plants.

On December 31, 1990 Lilienthal had six residents and belonged to the parish of Schönsee.
