Plößerlohe

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Plößerlohe is a desert in the northeast of the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria . There are only a few remains of the former buildings and these are almost completely overgrown with undergrowth.

The place is located at 720 m altitude near the German- Czech border, about 4.5 km northeast of Schönsee in a forest at the foot of the Schillerberg between the former Zankmühle and the former Dorfmühle (belonging to Plöss). Friedrichshäng is 2 km to the north-west.

After the expulsion in 1946, the Drachsler (Heinermatz, Bauscha), Leibl (Balla-Wenzl), Lehner (Räisenmatz, Schramgirgl) families and from the hamlet of Rappauf came from Plöss, about 1.5 km to the north-east, via the Zankmühle and the Dorfmühle the Licha family (Zankmüller, Sattlerschwarz) a total of 29 people. They built six houses in the swampy area of the Plösserlohe and lived there for some time under difficult conditions. At first they hoped to be able to quickly return to their homes on the Czech side. When this hope was not fulfilled, they gradually migrated further inland. In 1969 Plößerlohe was still managed as an independent district of Dietersdorf and still had one inhabitant.
