history

The diocese Jalpaiguri was on January 17, 1952 by Pope Pius XII. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Nullam sibi from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Dinajpur and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Calcutta as a suffragan .
