The Bistum Dinajpur ( lat. : Dioecesis Dinaipurensis ) is an in Bangladesh preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Dinajpur .

history

Pope Pius XI founded it with the Breve Supremi Apostolatus on May 25, 1927 from cession of territory by the Diocese of Krishnagar and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Calcutta as a suffragan diocese.

On January 17, 1952, it lost part of its territory to the Apostolic Prefecture of Malda and the Diocese of Jalpaiguri . It lost another part on May 21, 1990 to the Diocese of Rajshahi .
