James Joseph Sweeney (born January 10, 1913 in San Francisco , USA , † June 20, 1968 ) was Bishop of Honolulu .

Life

James Joseph Sweeney received on 4 June 1938, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 29, 1956, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Honolulu. The Archbishop of San Francisco , John Joseph Mitty , donated him episcopal ordination on February 27, 1957 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Oklahoma City and Tulsa , Eugene Joseph McGuinness , and the Archbishop of Seattle , Thomas Arthur Connolly .
