James Kim Ji-seok

James Kim Ji-seok ( Kor. 김지석 , born July 27, 1940 in Wonju , South Korea ) is a South Korean clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Wonju .

Life

James Kim Ji-seok received on 29 June 1968, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 19, 1990 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To Coadjutor Bishop of Wonju. The bishop of Wonju, Daniel Tji Hak Soun , donated him episcopal ordination on January 14, 1991 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Seoul , Stephen Cardinal Kim Sou-hwan , and the Apostolic Nuncio to Korea, Archbishop Ivan Dias . On March 12, 1993, James Kim Ji-seok succeeded the late Daniel Tji Hak Soun as Bishop of Wonju.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on March 31, 2016.
