James Massa (born September 3, 1960 in Jersey City ) is an American Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Brooklyn .

Life

James Massa received on 25 October in 1986 by Bishop Francis J. Mugavero the priesthood for the Diocese of Brooklyn .

Pope Francis appointed him Titular Bishop of Bardstown and Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn on May 19, 2015 . The Bishop of Brooklyn, Nicholas Anthony DiMarzio , donated it and the same time appointed Witold Mroziewski on 20 July of the same year, the episcopal ordination . Co- consecrators were Auxiliary Bishop Raymond Chappetto of Brooklyn and the Bishop of Rockville Center , William Francis Murphy .

On July 8, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him a member of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue .
