Jan-Niklas Pietsch (born March 25, 1991 in Bad Homburg ) is a German ice hockey player who has been playing in the top ice hockey league for EV Duisburg since May 2014 .

Career

Pietsch began his career in the offspring of the Red Devils Bad Nauheim . There he went through all the youth teams up to the youth team. After a year in the youth, he switched to the young eagles Mannheim for the 2007/08 season , for whose junior team he was active in the German junior league. With the Young Eagles he got seven points in 34 league games in his first year. As a result, he was nominated for the German U17 national team . In the 2008/09 season Pietsch was able to improve again and scored 29 points in the main round and 17 in the subsequent play-offs in the jersey of the young eagles. In the summer of 2009, the people in charge of the Krefeld Penguins provided him with a contract for the DEL Club, which binds him to the club until 2013. He also received a sponsorship license for the upper division Herner EV . In the 2010/11 season he played with a license from the DEG Metro Stars at Moskitos Essen in the major league, before he joined the second division ETC Crimmitschau in the summer of 2011 .

Between June 2012 and the end of the 2013/14 season he was back under contract with his home club.
