Jan Cornelius (writer)

Jan Cornelius (born February 24, 1950 in Reșița , People's Republic of Romania ) is a Romanian-German writer and publicist .

Life

Cornelius studied Romance studies in Timișoara , worked in Romania as a high school teacher and has lived in Düsseldorf since 1977 . He studied French and English and also worked as a teacher in Duisburg and Düsseldorf. Jan Cornelius writes humorous-satirical prose , poems, children's books and cabaret texts. He works for satirical magazines ( Eulenspiegel , Nebelspalter ) and writes satires , glosses and radio plays for various radio stations, especially for WDR .
