Jan Eschke

Jan Eschke (born July 30, 1976 in Aachen ) is a German jazz musician ( piano ).

Live and act

Eschke first received classical piano lessons before turning to jazz. After teaching with Max Neissendorfer and studying at the Neue Jazzschool München from 1992 to 1994, he was a member of Charly Antolini's Jazz Power, Martin Grubinger's Percussive Planet Ensemble, Max Grosch Quartet, Martin Auer Quartet and Charly Augschöll's Hotline Band. With Heiko Jung and Arno Haselsteiner he formed the Trio Dreizack , which presented the album Tricolor . He also played and toured with Enders Room , Norisha, Nina Michelle , Eddy Miller Band, Coffee Club Band, Brahms Meets Jazz, Sonja Eschke and the Rabauken-Combo u. a. as well as in a duo with Rainer Gruber. He can also be heard on albums by Johannes Faber , Lisa Wahlandt , Florian Trübsbach , Torsten Goods , Andreas Perger , Philipp Stauber and Andreas Kurz .

Since the winter semester 2010/11 he has been a lecturer for piano at the Leopold Mozart Center of the University of Augsburg .
