Jan Filip (born June 14, 1973 in Prague ) is a Czech handball player . From 2011 to January 2015 he worked as a player- coach in Switzerland for TSV St. Otmar St. Gallen . The playing position of the left-hander is on the right winger . In the summer of 2014, he and Daniel Kubeš took on the role of coach of the Czech national handball team . For the Czech national team, the 1.88 m long and 88 kg heavy Filip played 200 international matches in which he scored 991 goals. Although he is left-handed in handball, he writes with his right hand.

Filip, who is nicknamed "Honza", is married to Hanka and has a son and a daughter.
