Jan Willem Jansen (* in Deventer ) is a Dutch organist.

Jansen initially received his musical training from Jan Warmink , Willem Mesdag and Wim van Beek . In 1977 he received his concert diploma from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague . He continued his studies in harpsichord playing with Ton Koopman in Amsterdam and in organ playing with Xavier Darasse in Toulouse . He worked for Darasse at the Toulouse Conservatory, where he still teaches the organ and harpsichord.

Jan Willem Jansen is also the founder of the early music department at this institute and, together with Michel Bouvard, is responsible for the organs and keyboard instruments course. He is also artistic director of the Toulouse les Orgues festival .

Jansen has performed as an interpreter in well-known ensembles for baroque music, including La Chapelle Royale in Paris , Collegium Vocale Gent , Hespèrion XX in Barcelona and Les Sacqueboutiers et l ' Ensemble Baroque de Limoges under the direction of Christophe Coin . He is titular organist of the Musée des Augustins and the Basilica Notre-Dame de la Daurade in Toulouse.
