Janina Korn (born July 11, 1983 in Stuttgart ) is a German actress , musical artist and stand-up comedian .

Life

Korn, who lives in Hamburg, grew up with her mother in Stuttgart . At the age of eight she sang in the choir and appeared on stage in plays at her elementary school. At the age of 17 she decided to become a stage actress. In 2004 she attended the Stage School in Hamburg , which she graduated with a degree as a stage actress. In addition, she took acting lessons from Harald Weiler . Engagements followed, including as 'Magenta' in The Rocky Horror Show at the Luisenburg Festival , the comedy Frauengold and in 2009 as 'Mollie' in Die Mausefalle by Agatha Christie in the Krimi- Theater am Olgaeck in Stuttgart. As part of the Luisenburg Festival in Wunsiedel , she was in the musical gala Das Phantom invites you as a soloist on stage. In 2016 Janina studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute in Los Angeles. She has already been seen in various TV productions, including the crime series Das Duo (ZDF) directed by Markus Imboden , as well as in the series Niederig und Kuhnt - Kommissare Determine ( Sat.1 ). In 2012 she could be seen in Rent, Buy, Live at VOX . In 2018 she stood in front of the camera for the ZDF production Almost perfect in love , directed by Sinan Akkuş . Since the beginning of 2019, she has appeared on the stand-up comedy short program #fuckingfamous. In summer 2019 she played the title role of 'Penny Brown' in the musical Millions for Penny at the Little Comedy Cottbus . At the same theater she can be seen in the stage version of the TV series Der Tatortreiniger as 'Gina Hötzinger'.

Since 2016 she has also been working as a presenter for events and in front of the camera.

She supports the initiative “Hamburg is going pink! Breast Cancer Awareness ”.
