Harald Weiler

Harald Weiler (* 1958 in Cologne ) is a German actor and theater director .

Life

From 1978 to 1982 Harald Weiler completed a sports degree at the Sports University in Cologne , and in the year of his graduation he began his artistic training at the drama training workshop in the cathedral city, which lasted until 1985. In 1984 he started his first engagement at the Hamburg Thalia Theater . Further stations in his stage career were Essen, Hanover, Cologne, Lübeck and Neuss. Weiler has been working as a freelance artist since 1997 and can mainly be seen on Hamburg theaters, in addition to the Thalia Theater at the Kammerspiele , at the Altonaer Theater , on Kampnagel and in the Winterhuder Fährhaus .

Weiler has been directing extensively since 2009, also primarily in Hamburg. Weiler's productions have so far been shown on the stages already mentioned, as well as at the Ohnsorg Theater and the Lichthof . He made a detour to the Stadttheater Pforzheim and the Shakespeare Company in Bremen.

In addition, Weiler repeatedly takes on roles in front of the camera. Between 2001 and 2008 he had a continuous part in the Tatort episodes around Hamburg inspector Jan Casstorff , played by Robert Atzorn .

Harald Weiler continues to work as an acting coach. He lives in Hamburg.
