For the detective chief inspector Casstorff ( Robert Atzorn ) it is the eleventh case in which he is investigating.

action

A fire devil has been up to mischief in the Hanseatic city for some time. Divorce attorney Claudia von Brück dies in the course of these arson attacks. But she was killed with a Justitia figure in her office before someone started the fire. Daughter Mechthild is the sole heir. She was photographed by a detective agency at Techtelmechtel with her mother's friend, Peter Krausser. The two admit to have been to Claudia von Brück on the evening of the crime.

Holicek rattles off the divorced men whose partners were represented by the lawyer. He finally meets the arms dealer Angelo Panigua, whose ex, Rebecca Stein, is now in a relationship with the fire brigade commander Joachim Kasten, in whose area the arson attacks take place. Due to the events, both have to work extra shifts and Panigua has his son to himself. It is noticeable that the fires were accelerated by a gasoline that may only be used in pistol-shaped lighters. Alerted by the police, Panigua holed up with his son Lukas in the arms shop and had tears in his eyes when they (final?) Parting. Casstorff can prevent Panigua from suicide and induce him to make a full confession about the arson.

Casstorff uses a trick to get Mechthild von Brück to admit the manslaughter of her mother, since her mother took away her first husband, the father.

criticism

Julian Miller judges the odds meter and finds: This crime scene “has almost everything a good crime thriller needs. The material is not the most interesting and the basic idea is already a bit worn out, but 'Fire Fighters' manages to bring a breath of fresh air to the crime genre. The story is well worked out and the characters are very realistic. Most of the actors play very well. However, there are a few places where the dialogues get a bit boring. "

The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm gave the thumbs up for this crime scene and said: “Good social crime story about custody and murder”.
