Nadeshda Brennicke (* April 21, 1973 in Freiburg im Breisgau as Nadja Theresa Richter), also known as Nadja Brennicke , is a German actress , singer and author .

life and career

Brennicke is the adopted daughter of actor and voice actor Michael Brennicke , her mother is an art dealer.

From 1989 to 1991 Brennicke attended the Zinner Studio (since 2003: International School for Drama and Acting ). In 1992 she and Jennifer Wippich formed the singing duo Charade , which was produced by Stefan Zauner and Aron Strobel from Münchener Freiheit . The singles All of You and The Color of Your Eyes reached number 67 and 60 respectively on the German sales charts.

In her senior year at drama school, Brennicke got the lead role of Tina in the German comedy Manta - The Film . In 1994 Christian Petzold cast her for the leading role in female pilots . She gained greater fame through her role as investigator Tessa Norman in the series The Streets of Berlin . Many engagements in television productions followed, for example in the award-winning political thriller The Phantom (2000), as well as film roles in Kanak Attack (2001), Tattoo (2002) and Antibody (2005). For her role in Banklady (2013) she was named Best Actress at the Chicago International Film Festival .

She sings and composes her own songs. She sang in the Polizeiruf-110 episode silicon Walli and in the movie Antibodies . On the album Glücklich hier, Six Takes she speaks for experimental pieces from electronic music and literature by radio play author Michael Farin and musician Georg Zeitblom , including texts by the Brothers Grimm , Arthur Rimbaud and Edgar Allan Poe . Brennicke has a son and lives in Wriezen , a small town in the Märkischen Oderland .
