Seconds Out (English for: " Ring free! ") Is a double live album by the British rock band Genesis . It was released in 1977 and, with one exception, was recorded at concerts between June 11 and 14, 1977 during the Wind & Wuthering tour in Paris ; only the title The Cinema Show dates from 1976, the tour of the previous album A Trick of the Tail .
It is Genesis' second live album and also the last recording with guitarist Steve Hackett . Seconds Out marks the end of Genesis' progressive rock phase. In the following years there was a stronger focus on commercially successful rock music .

occupation
- Tony Banks - keyboards , guitar , vocals
- Phil Collins - drums , vocals
- Steve Hackett - guitar
- Mike Rutherford - electric bass , guitar, vocals
The band was supported by the following guest musicians:
- Chester Thompson - drums
- Bill Bruford - drums at The Cinema Show
The album credits name somewhat ambiguously which drummers play on which track: "Robbery Assault & Battery - keyboard solo Phil" and "Cinema Show - Bill Bruford, Phil keyboard solo". What was meant by this: Phil Collins also played drums (and by no means keyboards) on Robbery's keyboard solo . At The Cinema Show he played the long final instrumental part in 7/8 time together with Bill Bruford.
Chester Thompson and Phil Collins also played parts of the following pieces together: Afterglow , Firth of Fifth , I know what I like , The Musical Box , Supper's Ready and Los Endos (including the introductory drum duet).
