Without his beloved wife Marta, the marriage impostor Herbert Krugschenk would only be half as good. She actively supports him in his rip-offs. However, his business used to be better. The single market is flooded with sociable people. He can hardly cover his expenses in acquiring new women. He is close to bankruptcy. Fortunately, his son Sigi, a master thief, has just been released from prison and can now contribute to the household budget. Herbert's wife Marta has long wanted the broken washing machine to be repaired. However, she is not allowed to find out about the origin of the money, because her son Sigi is still the greatest pride in her life. After all, she believes he earns his money honestly on an oil rig.
But Herbert takes the money that was earmarked for the repair of the washing machine and buys an expensive ring with which he wants to bait one of his female victims. In doing so, he risks the house blessing hanging crooked, because Marta does not understand that she is tormenting herself at home while he sips champagne with wealthy women. So she moves out without further ado and furious. Herbert looks for her immediately and suspects that she is with his colleague Kai von Schaurot, who has been keeping an eye on Marta for a long time. Kai is also a marriage fraud. Marta, however, has stayed with her daughter Cornelia. Sigi is now trying to replace the mother in the household as best he can.
Marta's absence means that Herbert not only loses his drive, but also his charm. After all, she was responsible for all the details. But instead of overcoming his stubbornness and asking her to return to him, his energy is exhausted in being jealous of the arrogant Schaurot. He tells himself that its success can only be based on the fact that it is possible to charm even richer women with even more money. So Herbert von Sigi borrows previously stolen money and rents a Swiss grand hotel, which is teeming with single rich women. With Sigi as his chauffeur, he is now hunting for prey. But he fails over and over again. Ultimately, he has to realize that without his beloved Marta he is only half as good a marriage swindler.

The film was shot from April 14 to May 17, 2011 in Berlin and St. Moritz . On May 7, 2012, it was broadcast for the first time on ZDF . It was seen by 4.60 million viewers, which corresponds to a market share of around 14.8 percent.

And little crook Sigi alias Detlev Buck stumbles from one mishap to the next and actually only means well. Stelzer staged a comedy that with one or the other gag induces an amused smile.
