Günter Hoffmann , also Günther Hoffmann (born August 28, 1944 in Bad Landeck , Lower Silesia Province ) is a German actor and sound assistant .

Life

Günter Hoffmann grew up with his mother in an arbor in the allotment garden colony "Morgentau" in Berlin-Britz . In 1958, the director Robert A. Stemmle discovered him during an amateur performance at the Fritz-Karsen-Schule for his film Majestät auf Erweg . In it, Hoffmann played a bellboy alongside the child actors Michael Ande and Oliver Grimm . To distinguish him from the two, his dark hair was dyed blonde.

A year later, Hoffmann celebrated his greatest success as Sigi Bernhard in the Oscar-nominated anti-war drama Die Brücke .

The role of Georg in Hela Gerber's production of Gina Falckenberg's family play A Spring Day in the fall of 1960 was Hoffmann's only experience in the theater. He did not aspire to an acting career, instead studying journalism and art history at the Free University of Berlin from 1965 onwards .

From 1968 Hoffmann worked mainly for ZDF as a sound assistant for television films and later for series such as Kara Ben Nemsi Effendi (1972–74), Das doppelte Pensum (1984), Detective Office Roth (1984–86), Hotel Paradies (1989), Work for Lohbeck (1994–95) and Balko (1994–2003). Again and again he was also used as a supporting actor.

Occasionally Hoffmann worked as a voice actor. He lent his voice to Vladimir Pucholt in Peter Lilienthal's film Malatesta (1970). At Steiner - Das Eiserne Kreuz II (1979) he was the production manager.

Günter Hoffmann has been building marionette dolls and miniature worlds in a former shop in Berlin-Schöneberg that has been transformed into an artist's studio since the 1980s . They tell the "Battle of Düttelwitz" or form material for the program "Radio Free Gülze" on their own YouTube channel.

On April 25, 2005, he was a guest on Beckmann's talk show in Das Erste with other actors from the film Die Brücke .
