Janne Müller-Wieland (born October 28, 1986 in Hamburg ) is a German hockey player .

Career

Janne Müller-Wieland started playing hockey at Uhlenhorster HC in 1992 . While studying in Düsseldorf , she played the indoor season for Schwarz-Weiß Neuss , but commuted to the UHC in Hamburg for the field. After the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 , she continued her business studies in Hamburg until her bachelor's degree in 2010 and returned completely to her hometown club UHC. In the 2016 Olympic year, she completed her Master of Business and Administration at HSBA in Hamburg. With the Uhlenhorster HC, the defender was third in the German Championship 2007/2008. In 2008/2009 she was the team captain of the UHC German champions with 1-0 in the final against the club on the Alster . In the 2009/2010 season, the UHC women reached the finals in hall, field and in the first ECCC (European Club Champions Cup) and were each runner-up. At the third final appearance at the end of the 2010/2011 season in three years, the UHC with Janne as captain became German champions for the second time in three years with a 4-1 win in the final against Rotweiß Köln . In the 2011/2012 season she reached the Final Four of the ECCC for the second time with the UHC and came third there. As a league winner qualified again for the ECCC 2013 , the club finished the season as runner-up. In the summer of 2014 she played for Coca Cola Hiroshima in Japan for a few months and won three different Japanese championship titles with her team. After two more runner-up titles in 2013 and 2014, he succeeded in winning the championship title again in 2015 at the Final Four in Hamburg with a 4-1 win against Münchner SC ; The DM title was also won in Mannheim in 2016 by winning the penalty shootout against Rotweiß Köln after 2-2 in regular time. In 2015 she won the Indoor European Cup in Siauliai with the women of Uhlenhorster HC after 8-0 in the final against Campo de Madrid. In 2016 she took 3rd place with the Uhlenhorster HC at the European Cup EHCCC. In 2019 she reached the Final Four again with the UHC, but lost the semifinals 0: 5 against Alster. Since 2002 Janne Müller-Wieland has been a member of the youth national teams of the German Hockey Association . In 2002 she became European champion with the U16 national team in Rotterdam , and in 2003 she was vice European champion in Dublin with the U18 team. In 2005 she was runner- up in Chile with the U21 team, which then won the European Championship in Sicily in 2006 . After these successes, Janne Müller-Wieland made her debut on New Year's Eve 2006 in the German national hockey team . In 2008 she took second place with the German team at the FIH Champions Trophy in Mönchengladbach . At the Olympic Games in Beijing, she was the youngest German player and came fourth with the team. In 2009 the Vice European Championship followed in Amsterdam. At the World Championships in Rosario / Argentina 2010 fourth place was achieved again. The Vice European Championship 2011 in the Netherlands meant qualification for the 2012 Olympics in London . On June 14, 2012, Janne Müller-Wieland was nominated for the 16-man squad for London 2012 and reached 7th place there. In 2013 she won the World Hockey League Round 3 in Rotterdam with the German team 4-5 after a penalty shootout against NL. They qualified for the 2014 World Cup. In August 2013 they won the European championship with the German team 6: 4 in a penalty shootout against England.

She missed the 2013/14 indoor season and the 2014 World Cup due to an injury; with the UHC she became German runner-up in the summer after losing a penalty shootout against Rotweiß Köln. She then played for Coca Cola Hiroshima in Japan until the end of the year and became Japanese champion.

In 2016 she was nominated for her 3rd Olympic Games in Rio , where she won the bronze medal with the German team as captain with 2-1 against New Zealand . For this sporting success, she and the national hockey team received the Silver Laurel Leaf on November 1, 2016 . In 2017, she took 4th place with the German women at the European Championships. In February 2018, she was captain with the indoor national team in Berlin and won the 2-1 win in the final against Holland. In August 2018 she reached 5th place with the A-team. Since February 2019 she has been captain of the newly created Hockey Pro League with a total of 16 international matches within 6 months. On June 16, 2019, she played her 300th A international match against Australia, in which she scored 14 goals.
