Jano (* 1996 in Gütersloh , bourgeois Jeannette Loutfi ) is a German - Lebanese singer .

Life

Jano grew up in Künsebeck . During her school days she played handball at the HSG Union 92 Halle and became district champion with the A-youth . Jano studies journalism and corporate communication at the University for Media, Communication and Economics in Cologne , where she also lives. She is currently (January 2018) writing her bachelor thesis .

On April 30, 2014 she won the local Sing a Song competition from Radio Gütersloh , but could not reach the top 3 of the regional finals Ostwestfalen-Lippe . In spring 2016, she and Charming Horses released a cover of the piece Killing Me Softly with His Song by Lori Lieberman and Roberta Flack . The song reached number 79 on the Polish airplay charts.

At the end of 2017 Jano released her self-written single Like a Lion . In February 2018, a cover of the song How Will I Know by Whitney Houston was released , again together with Charming Horses .
