Jared Martin

Jared Christopher Martin (born December 21, 1941 in Manhattan , New York City , New York - † May 24, 2017 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) was an American actor .

Life

Jared Martin made his television debut in 1968. Numerous appearances in television productions followed, such as The Waltons , Knight Rider , Hotel , Mord ist ihr Hobby and CHiPs . In 1977 he played the time traveler Varian in the short-lived television series The Fantastic Journey . He celebrated his greatest success from 1979 to 1982 as Dusty Farlow in the American television series Dallas . In 1985 and 1991 he had guest appearances there again. From 1988 to 1990 he played Dr. Harrison Blackwood in War of the Worlds . Up to and including 1994 he was seen in more than 60 productions, after that he only appeared in 2003 as a spokesperson for a short film.

Jared Martin was married to Nancy Fales from 1963 to 1977 and to actress Carol Vogel from 1979 to 1984. Since 2000, he has been Yu Wei's husband. His son Christian Martin is a producer on Dateline NBC .

Since 2002 he lived in Philadelphia. Working as a producer, he became aware of disadvantaged young people and founded the Big Picture Alliance, in which young people can learn the basics of filmmaking and make their own short films.
