history

Jaroslavice, like Kudlov , was probably founded between 1550 and 1570 as a settlement of Pasekars. The first written mention of the village Jaroslawicze belonging to the rule Zlín took place in 1588 in two documents of the landlady Bohunka von Zierotin , in which she regulated the easements of the subjects. The first mention of 1358, published in Vlastivěd Moravský , is an error by Vácslav Peřinka, who did not recognize that it referred to the now extinct village of Jaroslavice near Prusinovice . In 1720 the place was called Jaroslawitz . The oldest local seal dates from 1777 and bears the inscription POCTIWA OBEC GAROSL. Jaroslavice always remained submissive to Zlín until the middle of the 19th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Garoslawice / Jaroslawitz 1850 a municipality in the district administration Holešov . The residents lived from agriculture, which was not very productive because of the stony soil. The current place name Jaroslavice has been used since 1872.

In 1935 the municipality was assigned to the newly established Zlín District. In 1964 Jaroslavice was incorporated into the town of Gottwaldov , which has been called Zlín again since 1990. In 1991 Jaroslavice had 664 inhabitants. In the 2001 census, 714 people lived in the village's 272 houses. The former school is now used as a warehouse for the South Moravian Museum in Zlín.
