Jason Bernard
Jason Bernard (born May 17, 1938 in Chicago , Illinois , † October 16, 1996 in Burbank , California ) was an American actor .
Life
His screen debut was Jason Bernard in the 1968 published and Jules Dassin staged drama Black Power at the side of Ruby Dee and Roscoe Lee Browne . After starring in series such as Cagney & Lacey , Harry's Wondrous Criminal Court and Flash - Der Rote Blitz , he embodied the character of Mr. Paul Bracken in the television series Four Times Herman in 72 episodes from 1991 to 1994 . He also played the character of Captain William Eisen in the two computer games Wing Commander 3 and Wing Commander 4 .
On October 16, 1996, Jason Bernard suffered a heart attack while driving his car past Cahuenga Boulevard . He caused a car accident and was admitted to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank , where he died shortly afterwards. He left behind his wife and their three children.
