Jasta is the solo debut album by US singer Jamey Jasta . It was released by Century Media on July 22, 2011 .

Origin and style

The album, which Jasta produced himself, was created over a period of three years and was recorded with numerous guest musicians in Milford , Connecticut . The instrumentalists were two members of Kingdom of Sorrow , the brothers Charlie and Nick Bellmore . The pieces were sometimes more melodic than usual in Jasta's other activities. The most famous guest musician is Zakk Wylde , who can be heard on The Fearless Must Endure . An additional version of this piece is included on the Limited Edition. Furthermore, Randy Blythe ( Lamb of God ), Tim Lambesis ( As I Lay Dying ), Mike Vallely ( Revolution Mother ) and Phil Labonte ( All That Remains ) to hear.

reception

Thomas Kupfer awarded eight out of ten points in Rock Hard magazine . He wrote that it was "perhaps the greatest achievement" in Jasta's career so far that he transported his "overflowing energy into songs that were rather untypical for him" on the album. Michael Edele from Laut.de awarded four out of five stars. His conclusion was: “ Hatebreed fans can test the disc. But even people who didn't know what to do with Hatebreed so far could find one or two interesting numbers on Jasta. "
