The Jaur is a river in southern France that runs in the Hérault department , in the Occitanie region .
It rises in the mountains of the Monts de l'Espinouse of the karst spring Source du Jaur (Eng. Quelle des Jaur) on the southwestern outskirts of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières . The spring water flows there from a cave in the rock. About 150 m below its origin, the Jaur receives its first tributary, the Aguze.
The Jaur generally drains in a north-easterly direction through the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park and flows into the Orb as a right tributary after 30 kilometers in the municipality of Mons .
