Jauring is a village and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Aflenz in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district in Styria .
Jauring is located northeast of Aflenz between Aflenz and Dörflach .
history
The earliest written document is from 1363 and is "Jaurnichk". The name goes back to the Slovenian javor (maple).
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 106 building areas with 29,598 m² and 120 gardens on 70,742 m² in the cadastral community of Jauring , in 1989/1990 there were 108 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 418 and in 2009/2010 there were 200 buildings on 433 building areas.
Buildings
A little outside there is a way of the cross to the Kalvarienberg chapel with brick wayside shrines, which is provided with wrought iron bars and inside a baroque group of crosses. The facility is under monument protection ( list entry ).
Land use
The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 140 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 549 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 105 hectares and 592 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 86 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 585 hectares. The average soil climate of Jauring is 27.5 (as of 2010).
