Javier Gerardo Román Arias
Javier Gerardo Román Arias (born October 19, 1962 in Alajuela , Costa Rica ) is a Costa Rican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Limón .
Life
Javier Gerardo Román Arias received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of San José de Costa Rica on December 8, 1987 .
On March 21, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Limón. The Archbishop of San José de Costa Rica, José Rafael Quirós Quirós , donated him episcopal ordination on May 30th of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Cartago , José Francisco Ulloa Rojas , and the Bishop of Puntarenas , Oscar Gerardo Fernández Guillén .
