José Francisco Ulloa Rojas
José Francisco Ulloa Rojas (born October 1, 1940 in Cipreses de Oreamuno , Costa Rica ) is a Costa Rican clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Cartago .
Life
José Francisco Ulloa Rojas received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of San José de Costa Rica on December 19, 1964 .
On December 30, 1994, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Limón . The Apostolic Nuncio in Costa Rica, Archbishop Giacinto Berloco , donated him episcopal ordination on February 22, 1995 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of San José de Costa Rica, Román Arrieta Villalobos , and the Apostolic Vicar Emeritus of Limón, Alfonso Coto Monge . On May 24, 2005 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Cartago. The inauguration took place on July 16 of the same year.
On March 29, 2014, Pope Francis called him a member of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life .
Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation as Bishop of Cartago on March 4, 2017.
