JayJay (born October 30, 1986 in Neuss ; real name Jason Firchow ) is a German rapper from the music label Achtung Schäääpat Records .

JayJay grew up in Neuss as the son of acting professor and musician Reinhart Firchow and actress Andrea Gowin . Already in his early childhood he gained experience in various art projects, got piano lessons and founded his first bands. At the age of ten he developed a passion for hip hop music, so making music soon became the biggest part of his youth.

Career

In 2007, the producer duo Discobots became aware of the then 20-year-old JayJay. They released the single "Elektrorap" on A-Trax Recordings, including two remixes, as an official record. This rose spectacularly into the German DJ charts (number 58) and increased JayJay's popularity overnight.

Shortly thereafter, in 2008, he shot his first music video for the song and its homage "Knüppel Klopp" - a song rapped in Düsseldorf Rheinisch . By mid-2013, this had over 817,000 clicks on the YouTube channel and made JayJay a local name. Also in 2008, with the start of Fortuna Düsseldorf's third division football season , JayJay and the Düsseldorf rap group “Der Neue Westen” started the project “Eine Heimat eine Liebe” and produced an album about their home club to accompany the football season. The song "Fortuna" became the unofficial club anthem and has over 500,000 clicks on the YouTube channel alone . In January 2009 he released his third single "Schäääpat", which is how the ZYX Music label asked for it , which published the song on its compilation "New German Partyrap". JayJay also founded his own label "Achtung Schäääpat Records" under the same name in 2010, in order to be able to publish his music on his own from now on. The first club tour followed as well as other appearances with artists such as Loco Dice , ElektroFerris ( Deichkind ), Plattenpapzt , Schowi ( Massive Töne ), Kid Kaio, Dave Kurtis, DJ Rafik , Mr. Mixx, Stage Bottles and My Terror.

Since January 2011 JayJay has been performing regularly with a live cast, the “Schäääpat Soundsystem”, which includes bassist Ufo Walter , guitarist Michael David Clauss (formerly Belfegore , Nothing ), drummer Ben Ballert, DJ Lee Bass, Rino Rock , Hennessie and singer Ine San belong.

The debut album entitled "Achtung Schäääpat" was released on July 15, 2011. This was followed by more music video releases with the songs "Summer Time" and "I Love Weekend" as well as a dozen live video recordings. The album was produced by the producers Loggarizm, Dave Kurtis, Bazzilar, Don Tone, I: Lyke and Lee Bass. The album release concert rose on August 13, 2011 in Zakk Düsseldorf, where it was supported by hip-hop artists such as Pure Doze ( Too Strong ), D-Bo , Blumio , Onkel Berni, Hardsoul, Gato Preto and Skor. Shortly afterwards JayJay released the "Album Release Concert DVD".

In May 2012 he made the single and the accompanying music video " Killepitsch " together with the rapper Blumio , which was particularly well received in Düsseldorf, but also across Germany. Then he accompanied Blumio on his “God vs. Teufel Tour ”through Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In December 2012 JayJay won the newcomer festival “City Beatz” and became a young artist of the city of Düsseldorf 2012. On January 17, 2013 he released the single and the music video “Ich lieb 'mein Verein”, which was released after a few days Top 100 of the iTunes charts entered. The song is a protest song that addresses the security concept in football , repression in German stadiums and the resulting conflict with the DFB .
