Jean-Pierre Louis Roger Sylvain Batut (born July 3, 1954 in Paris ) is a French clergyman and bishop of Blois .

Life

Jean-Pierre Batut received on 23 June 1984, the sacrament of the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Paris .

On November 28, 2008 Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Ressiana and auxiliary bishop in Lyon . The Archbishop of Lyon , Philippe Cardinal Barbarin , donated him episcopal ordination on January 10, 2009 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Paris , Cardinal André Vingt-Trois , and the Bishop of Saint-Étienne , Dominique Lebrun .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Blois on November 22, 2014 and he was instituted on January 11 of the next year.
