Jean-Marc Chabloz

Jean-Marc Chabloz (born May 27, 1967 in Montreux ) is a former Swiss biathlete . He works as a shooting coach for the Swedish national biathlon team.

Jean-Marc Chabloz started biathlon in 1989 . He made his international debut at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville . He took part in all other Olympic Games up to 2002 , but never achieved significant placements. Between 1993 and 2004 he took part in almost all world championships . The only outstanding placings were a tenth place in the 1996 World Championship in Ruhpolding in the individual, in 1997 a 13th place in the sprint of Osrblie and in 2001 a 15th place in the individual of Pokljuka .

He made his biathlon World Cup debut in Pokljuka in 1992. His best result was in his first season in the singles of Kontiolahti in fourth. He was able to repeat this placement eight years later at the pre-Olympic competition in Salt Lake City .

Since the end of his career in 2004, Chabloz has lived with his partner in their hometown of Östersund . There he worked as a biathlon trainer at the sports high school. In 2020 he was appointed shooting coach for the Swedish national team, where, among other things, he is largely responsible for the shooting training of the former cross-country skier Stina Nilsson .
