Tiberghien took part in U18 and U20 races in the Alpencup from 2011 to 2015 . He finished fourth in the 2013/14 season and second place in the U20 overall ranking in 2014/15 . His best result at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2013 in Predeal was fourth place over 10 km freestyle. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2014 in Val di Fiemme , he won the silver medal in the relay and the gold medal in the sprint. He also achieved 28th place in the skiathlon there . The following year he won the silver medal with the relay at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Almaty . In the individual races there he ran on the 28th place in the skiathlon, on the 19th place in the sprint and on the eighth place over 10 km freestyle. In December 2015, he started in Prémanon for the first time in the Alpine Cup and finished 32nd place over 15 km classic and 23rd place over 15 km freestyle. At the U23 World Ski Championships in 2016 in Râşnov , he won the bronze medal in the sprint and finished 11th over 15 km freestyle. In the 2016/17 season he won the 10 km freestyle in Planica and his first victories in the 3.3 km freestyle in Seefeld in Tirol . In addition, he finished second in the 15 km freestyle in St. Ulrich am Pillersee and thus achieved ninth place in the overall ranking of the Alpine Cup. He made his debut in the World Cup in December 2016 in Davos , which he finished in 45th place in the 30 km freestyle. At the U23 World Ski Championships in 2017 in Soldier Hollow , he came tenth in the skiathlon and eighth in the 15 km freestyle. In the following season he won the overall ranking of the Alpine Cup with seven top ten finishes, including two second places and one first place. At the U23 World Ski Championships in Goms in 2018 , he finished 30th in the sprint and 11th in the skiathlon.
After finishing 53rd in the Lillehammer Tour at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, Tiberghien won the Marathon de Bessans over 42 km freestyle and achieved second place in the overall standings of the Alpine Cup with two second places. In the 2019/20 season he won his fourth Alpine Cup victory in Pragelato over 10 km freestyle. He also came second in Piancavallo over 15 km freestyle and third in St. Ulrich am Pillersee over 10 km freestyle, thus winning the overall ranking of the Alpine Cup. At the Marathon de Bessans he took second place. In February 2020 he got his first World Cup points at the Ski Tour, which he finished in 41st place, with 28th place in the 34 km mass start race in Meråker .
