Jeetze (noble family)

Jeetze is the name of an old noble family from the Altmark . It was named after the headquarters of the same name between Kalbe an der Milde and Arendsee .

history

The family first appeared in a document in 1279 with the knight Friedrich von Jediz . The family is of one tribe with those of idols . As is usual with the Prussian landed gentry, it provided the Brandenburg-Prussian state with numerous officers.

The Prussian captain Hans Carl Friedrich von Jeetze in Ruppersdorf, Strehlen district , was granted the Silesian incolat on September 26, 1763 . In Bavaria, on March 22, 1813, he was enrolled in the knight class and on May 3, 1823 in the baron class, for the son of the aforementioned, the royal Bavarian major of the Würzburg Jäger Battalion, Carl Wilhelm Albrecht von Jeetze (1766-1848), at Schlottenhof near Arzberg, Upper Franconia. His son was the Bavarian major general Wilhelm von Jeetze (1785-1852).

In addition to this uradeligen sex there was thanks to some adoptions in the 19th century, letter noble branches of the family.

The family coat of arms shows a red feathered bird's claw in silver. On the helmet with red and silver covers there are three flags, one silver between two red ones.
