Jeffrey Michael Kent (born January 9, 1970 in Rhode Island ) is a former American - Israeli basketball player .

career

After studying at the University of Rhode Island , he played for several years as a professional in the Israeli Ligat ha'Al . There he won the Israeli championship with series champion Maccabi Tel Aviv and was used in 1997 in the Israeli national basketball team. In the basketball Bundesliga 2000/01 Kent played for the German first division club SSV Ratiopharm from Ulm , who, however, had to be relegated as bottom of the table after only six wins this season. Kent scored an average of 12 points and 6.4 rebounds per Bundesliga appearance for Ulm. In the following season he played in the British Basketball League for the London Towers . In the European club competition ULEB Euroleague 2001/02 , the Towers remained in 14 preliminary round games without a win. Kent was characterized by speed and agility despite his height. He had a safe throw from both half and long range.
