Jekaterina Ivanovna Glasyrina ( Russian Екатерина Ивановна Глазырина ; English Ekaterina Glazyrina ; born April 22, 1987 in Tchaikovsky ) is a Russian biathlete .

Jekaterina Glasyrina first took part in a major biathlon event in 2007, the Junior European Championships. In Bansko she was used in a race, in the individual she came in 15th place. The following year she started at the European Junior Championships in Nové Město na Moravě and was there 12th in the individual and fifth in the sprint and in the pursuit. In 2010 Glasyrina took part in the European Biathlon Championships in Otepää and reached the ranks five in the individual, sixteen in the sprint and ten in the pursuit race. With Olga Wiluchina , Jekaterina Jurlowa and Jekaterina Schumilowa , the Russian won the bronze medal in the relay competition behind the representatives from Germany and Ukraine. Then she ran her first race in the IBU Cup 2009/10 . In the first race, a sprint in Pokljuka , she achieved a podium result with second place. For the 2010/11 season Glasyrina moved up to the national team of Russia. In Presque Isle , she made her debut in the World Cup and immediately won her first World Cup points as 39th in sprint races. A few days later in Fort Kent , Jekaterina Glasyrina was initially 19th in the sprint and climbed to 9th in the pursuit race, making it into the top ten for the first time. The first podium in the World Cup went to Jekaterina Glasyrina at the start of the 2012/2013 World Cup in Östersund. She was third in the individual race.

Nationally, Glasyrina won the bronze medal with the relay team at the Russian Biathlon Championships 2009 in Uwat together with Jekaterina Krylatkowa, Lyubow Petrowa and Natalja Sokolowa .

After abnormalities in various doping tests, Glasyrina was temporarily suspended on February 10, 2017 in the run-up to the 2017 Biathlon World Championships in Hochfilzen. On May 4, 2018, the IBU imposed a two-year ban backdated to April 24, 2018 and deleted all Glasyrina's results since December 19, 2013. In addition, all medals, prizes and bonuses won were revoked. After she had initially lodged an objection to the International Court of Justice (CAS), she withdrew it, making the ban legally valid.

Glasyrina studied at the State University of Sport and Physical Culture of Ural ( Russian Уральский государственный университет физической культуры , Uralski gossudarstwenny uniwersitet fisitscheskoi kultury ) in Yekaterinburg .
