Jelena Sergejewna Shirotschenko

Jelena Sergejewna Schirotschenko ( Russian Елена Сергеевна Широченко ; born March 1, 1983 in Kurgan ) is a Russian local politician of the United Russia party and an entrepreneur . From 2017 to 2019 she was the chairwoman of the Pionersky City District in Kaliningrad Oblast .

Life

She graduated from the Kurgan Pedagogical College in 2003 and then moved to Kaliningrad Oblast. From 2004 to 2005 she taught English at the Trade and Economics College in Kaliningrad . From 2006 to 2009 she worked for the construction company Techpromressurs in the Kaliningrad district of Pribreschny . From 2009 to 2010 she was the Executive Director of the Kaliningrad Institute of Urban Studies . From 2010 to 2011 she worked as an expert for the Rostechnadsora environmental monitoring agency . From 2011 she was initially the executive director of the Kaliningrad construction company group Evropeiskaya promyslennaya gruppa and has been its general director since 2012 .

In 2011 she joined the United Russia party . In 2013, she graduated from the Faculty of State and Municipal Administration at the Russian Academy of Economics and Public Service under the President of the Russian Federation . In September 2017 she was first elected as a member of the Pionerski district and then also as chairperson.

She resigned from her post in September 2019. In the summer of 2019, the FSB , the domestic secret service , had accused her of violating the regulations governing the admission of officials to state secrets, and was therefore ordered to pay a fine of 3,000 rubles (around 45 euros). Due to a formal error in the hearing by the FSB - among other things, she could not bring in a lawyer - she was acquitted both in September 2019 by the City Court in Svetlogorsk and in November 2019 in the second instance by the Oblast Court in Kaliningrad.
