Jelena Wlk (born April 16, 1993 in Kirchheim unter Teck ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career hall

Wlk first played tennis . In summer 2004 she discovered her interest in volleyball and began her career at TSV Schlierbach . She later moved to TSV Georgii Allianz Stuttgart , which became VC Stuttgart after a merger . In 2009, the outside attacker was used for the first time in the Bundesliga team of Stuttgart. In 2010, the junior national player joined the VC Olympia Berlin youth team , with whom she also played in the Bundesliga. In 2012 she went back to Stuttgart and initially played in the second Bundesliga in the second team of Allianz MTV Stuttgart . From 2014 to 2016 she was part of the first team at Allianz MTV Stuttgart, with whom she won the German Cup on March 1, 2015 in Halle / Westphalia. She was voted the best player of the game. After two German runners-up in 2015 and 2016, Wlk ended her professional career and played with the second team in the 2nd Bundesliga until 2019.

Career Beach

As a beach volleyball player , Wlk won the German U17 and U18 championships in 2009. In the same year she took part in the U18 European Championship in Espinho with Anika Krebs . In 2011 she successfully returned after a cruciate ligament rupture and won the German U19 championship with cancer; she also reached the final of the U20 competition. In the same year she played with Sandra Ittlinger at the U19 World Cup in Umag . At the U20 European Championships 2012 in Hartberg (Austria), she took second place with cancer. The following year she took second place at the U21 World Championship in Umag, Croatia, and took part in the FIVB Challenger in Seoul and, for the first time, in the German championships in Timmendorfer Strand . Then Jelena Wlk and Anika Krebs parted ways and she played with different partners (including Katharina Culav , Anika Krebs and Sandra Ittlinger). In 2014 she played together with Natascha Niemczyk and again finished 13th at the German championships .
