Jenna Rae Eilee Westaway (born June 19, 1994 ) is a Canadian athlete who specializes in the 800-meter run .

Athletic career

Jenna Westaway appeared for the first time at the 2011 World Youth Championships in Lille , where she competed over 800 meters and was eliminated in the preliminary round. In 2013 she won the gold medal over 800 meters at the Pan American Junior Championships in Medellín and silver with the Canadian 4-by-400-meter relay. In 2014 she qualified for the World Indoor Championships in Sopot , Poland , from which she was eliminated beforehand. At the NACAC U23 Championships in Kamloops , she won the gold medal over 1500 meters, silver with the Canadian relay and the bronze medal over 800 meters.

Two years later she won again gold over 1500 meters, silver over 800 meters and bronze with the Canadian relay at the NACAC U23 championships in San Salvador . In 2017 she attended the Summer Universiade in Taipei as a student at the University of Calgary . Over 800 meters she reached the semi-finals and with the Canadian relay she finished fourth. In 2018 she was eliminated from the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham with 2: 03.19 minutes in the first round. The following year she was fifth at the Student World Games in Naples in 2: 02.65 min, as well as with the Canadian season in 3: 34.62 min.
