Jeramie Bernell Woods (born February 17, 1991 in Berlin ) is a German - American basketball player . The 1.95-meter-tall winger is under contract with Baskets Wolmirstedt in the Regionalliga. Because of his hometown and his ability to jump, he is nicknamed "Air Berlin".

Career

Woods began his basketball club career as a child at TSV Rudow in his hometown of Berlin . The son of a German and an American grew up partly in the United States near the city of Milwaukee and played at West Bend West High School in West Bend , Wisconsin .

After his return to Germany, Woods played for BBC Magdeburg for three years from 2011 : two of them in the Regionalliga and in the 2013/14 season in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA , after the club had been awarded the right to participate in the second highest German division.

Woods spent the 2014/15 season with the Cuxhaven BasCats and the following season also in the ProA, with the Gotha Rockets . In summer 2016 he was signed by Crailsheim Merlins , relegated to the Bundesliga . After a year in the Hohenlohe squad, he moved on to ProA newcomer PS Karlsruhe in the summer of 2017  . Woods scored an average of 3.3 points in 30 games for Karlsruhe during the 2017/18 season.

At the beginning of August 2018 he moved to the White Wings Hanau within the 2. Bundesliga ProA . In the 2018/19 season he averaged 4.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, but with Hanau he was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. He then moved to the Baskets Wolmirstedt in the 1st regional league.
