Jeronimo de Haze de Georgio, Lord of Stabroek (* 1651 in Amsterdam ; † 19 July 1725 ibid) was mayor of Amsterdam twelve times between 1695 and 1717 .

De Haze is the name of a native to Flanders entstamme ends patrician family , who settled the late 16th century in Amsterdam. His father, also named Jeronimo, left him a magnificent town house on Amsterdam's Herengracht , called De Arent , and designed by Philips Vingboons . Even Tsar Peter the Great was inspired by this building to build his summer house on the Neva .
Little is known about the politician De Haze; In addition to his position as city regent, he was also President of the Dutch East India Company (VOC) and the Dutch West India Company (WIC). In 1710 Jeronimo de Haze bought the high and free glory of Mijnden , as well as the sovereign rights of Loosdrecht, from the hands of a mayor of Utrecht . After his death in 1725, De Haze, who had remained childless, bequeathed his fortune of approximately three and a half million guilders as well as his noble titles to his niece Anna de Haze .
